Spreadsheet Advanced Question Type Enhancements
Rogo’s spreadsheet advanced question type now contains the ability to access the ‘Financial’ and ‘Statistical’ functions as standard.
This additional functionality can be accessed from the insert function pane and from the functions library.
We understand that your assessment/training programme may have its own discrete requirements when it comes to the spreadsheet functionality permitted.
If the previous level of functionality without these function categories is preferred, please contact support@eintech.com and we will be happy revert this for your portal.
Single Sign-On with Entra
This release introduces login with Entra, a powerful identity and access management platform provided by Microsoft. Similar to logging in via Google or Facebook, using Entra allows you to login seamlessly without entering a password for your professional email. See this article for detailed steps on setting up app registration in Azure and configuring your portal in Rogo, which is required to be able to use this login method.
Where configured, users requiring log in with Entra must select that option on the Rogo login page. From here, users will be required to accept permissions from Microsoft and then be logged into Rogo.
Cookies
Our new interactive cookies management tool offers greater transparency over the cookies used in Rogo. Upon login, all users will now be presented with a small alert on the bottom left hand corner about the use of additional cookies on Rogo. Much like other websites, you’ll be presented with the option to Accept, Reject or Manage them. Your chosen preference will be stored for 365 days. Click "Find out more about our cookie usage" in your portal to find out more.
External Resources
If your team uses external software such as help desk software or CRM platforms, you can now create a page for admin users that uses source code in the text editor to embed a link to your external tool. To set this up, a user with appropriate permissions can navigate to System Setup in the admin area. Here, a button for External Resources can be found alongside those in ‘Other settings’ at the bottom of the System tab.
The set up page is a rich text editor. For this area, you can insert <script> text to create interactive forms that submit to external sites. Examples of third-party sites that offer this include:
- DeskPro: Embedding Department Forms
Please be cognizant of the surrounding requirements for your external tools, e.g. some sites may require you to allow Rogo as an accepted domain.
To create interactive external forms, enter the code using “Source code” in the editor. Other ways you could use this page could be to create a list of useful links for your team or communicate internal updates. For this, using the main text entry area will suffice.

General Security Enhancements
As part of our commitment to providing a secure e-Learning platform that stays up-to-date with modern cybersecurity requirements, we have introduced a few improvements in our login and email flows.
Session timeouts
After 4 hours and 5 minutes of inactivity, a warning modal will appear stating that you will be logged out shortly. Inactivity is defined as no interaction with the server, so inactivity could include scrolling a mouse around the page but not clicking on anything. Candidate experience will not be affected when using Rogo, as the auto-save functionality in exams will ensure they are never logged out through inactivity.
Reset password tokens
When a user triggers their own password reset, the link will now be available for 1 hour only. After this, users will need to request another password reset. The limit on the password reset link when it is sent by an admin user or automatically triggered will remain 24 hours.
Password change email
An email template can be set in the system emails section to go out when a password has been changed. In the unlikely event that it wasn’t the user who changed this, the template could be styled to instruct the user to contact the appropriate security contacts. If no email template is selected than an email will not be sent in this event.
